Expanding access to recycled water
Our provision of recycled water to customers continued to expand, with the establishment of recycled water infrastructure to service the growing Hume corridor. As part of this, we commenced the supply of Class A recycled water to around 600 homes in the Highlands Estate in Craigieburn West in February 2010.
Newly constructed pipelines and storage tanks pump the recycled water from our Aurora Sewage and Recycled Water Treatment Plant in Epping North across to Craigieburn.
Yarra Valley Water and the developer Stockland, partnered to install the Class A recycled water system which will progressively roll out as each stage of the development is released. Approximately 11,500 homes in Craigieburn West will ultimately be supplied with Class A recycled water.
