Our Graduate Engineers Program aims to provide our graduates with a solid platform to launch their career as a successful engineering professional. 

Our 3 year program provides you with on-the-job experience through a series of rotational placements that will maximise your personal and professional development.
 

What do we look for?

Each year a broad range of engineering graduates join us.  Candidates can apply during our graduate intakes or may join us in their final year of study as a Vacation Student.  Candidates will ideally be recent (or nearing completion) graduates in the following disciplines:

  • Engineering: civil, environmental, mechanical, electrical, structural & chemical
  • Environmental Science
  • Geo Sciences

As well as our Graduate Engineers Program, on occasion we do have roles for accounting, economics and IT graduates. These roles are advertised separately, on our careers website and on the Seek employment website.
 

Rotation Program

We have an active rotation program in place designed to give exposure to a variety of engineering and technical work areas as well other business activities.

We recognise the value engineers and technical professionals bring to Yarra Valley Water, and make every effort during the rotation to grow and develop employees.

Development and training needs are regularly reviewed, with additional training offered to develop leadership and management skills, as well as adding to the employees’ technical understanding.

Review processes ensure employees receive regular performance feedback throughout the program, with career path options discussed in detail.
