This new development boasts a much coveted 5-star rating by the Green Building Council of Australia, one of the few retail projects to do so in Australia. It’s now home to 30 gourmet retailers including high profile epicurean icons Simon Johnson; Jones the Grocer and Oriental Tea House as well as a handful of innovative home wares stores.

Chadstone has also welcomed the inclusion of large anchors Woolworths, Aldi, Pets at home and 1st Choice Liquor to name a few. In addition to this unique retail offering, a further 9,300m2 of commercial space has been built allied with 1,000 more car parks bringing the total to an unprecedented 9,000 – more than another shopping centre in Australia.

Chadstone has achieved a 86% reduction in potable water usage through:

Rainwater harvesting
  • 300kL tank connected to 8,000sqm of catchment
  • Rainwater used for irrigation and toilet flushing
  • Estimated potable water saving of 18kL pa
     
Fire Service Testing Water
  • 80kL tank (combined tank with rainwater)
  • Fire test water used for irrigation and toilet flushing
  • Estimated potable water saving of 430kL pa
