Coburg - stormwater harvesting and reuse project

At Coburg, 10km north of the Melbourne CBD Yarra Valley Water in partnership with Moreland City Council and Melbourne Water intends to harvest stormwater from two existing stormwater drains that run along the boundary of a proposed development site. This water will be treated to a very high standard and then reticulated as recycled water to all new houses and apartments with a designated area for toilet flushing, laundry and outdoor uses. It will also be used for irragation in nearby public open spaces.
