Peak Industry Grants and Incentive Schemes for Businesses

Sustainability Covenant -  Australian Industry Group

The Australian Industry Group has funding available through the Sustainability Covenant that provides funding for innovative environmental practices. Projects need to demonstrate clear resource efficiency and waste reduction outcomes and contribute to capacity building within the company and/or supply chain, industry sector or geographic location. The types of projects funded to date include;

  • Cleaner production research
  • Foundry sands recycling studies
  • Life cycle assessments
  • Bio solids research
  • Reducing prescribed industrial waste in the metal finishing sector
  • Wastewater pilot programs
 

Funding Available
Funding is available for feasibility/investigative studies and not capital. Funding of $3m to be allocated

REWaRDS PACIA (Plastics and Chemicals Industry Association)

The REWaRDS partnership with Sustainability Victoria will provide funding of up to $1M per annum for three years to assist plastics and chemicals companies to implement programs which deliver significant improvements in,resource efficiency and reduction in waste. REWaRDS is designed to support PACIA and its members in the Victorian plastics and chemicals industries. Programs or projects might also involve suppliers, customers and other stakeholders. Industry programs that focus on waste reduction and resource efficiency are eligible. Individual companies, sector representatives, regional or supply chains groups, PACIA and EPA Victoria can all propose initiatives and projects.

Funding Available
There is no predetermined limit of support.

Timing
Projects will be funded on a rolling basis
