Water and Energy Savings Program

Want to save money and improve your company's environmental performance? EPA Victoria's Water & Energy $savings Program offers support for feasibility studies that focus on reducing potable water and energy in industrial processes. The projects are tailored to industry needs to achieve best possible savings.

Funding available
The normal range is between $15,000 and $20,000

HazWaste Fund Environmental Protection Authority

This fund supports industry to accelerate reductions in the volume and hazard of hazardous waste (or prescribed industrial waste) generated in Victoria. The HazWaste Fund is made possible as a result of the Victorian Government’s commitment to invest increased hazardous waste landfill levy revenue in projects to avoid waste or productively use wastes that cannot be avoided.

The fund is open to a wide range of incorporated or otherwise legally constituted applicants. Primary targets for the fund include organizations that undertake the following operations;

  • generate and dispose solid hazardous waste to landfill
  • generate and dispose solid or liquid hazardous waste to a treatment company
  • treat, recycle, remediate or reuse hazardous wastes
  • own or develop land that is partially or fully contaminated


Funding available
There  is no predetermined level of support.

Timing
Submission dates are open periodically through to 10 June 2011.

Resource Smart Business Program Sustainability Victoria

The ResourceSmart Business Program helps businesses across Victoria manage the risks and opportunities presented by climate change. Participating businesses may receive financial support for innovating projects in efficiency.  Membership is open to all businesses within Victoria looking to improve their sustainability practices.

Funding available
Sustainability Victoria is currently encouraging businesses to approach them directly to determine specific levels of funding support for them.  There are a range of rebates and grants available

This program has been established to assist government agencies to implement office based components of ResourceSmart strategies to reduce energy, waste and water impacts
