This is a new qualification developed in partnership by Yarra Valley Water and Box Hill Institute – created by industry for industry.

Never before has sustainability and operational efficiency been more important to industry.  It is predicted that Victoria will soon see an increased demand for people who are job ready and experts in the fields of environment and sustainability.

The Diploma is an Industry Based Learning (IBL) mentoring model with the course delivered utilising a variety of learning methods including interactive activities, group discussions, workshops, guest presenters, case studies, projects and peer presentations.

Diploma students will develop valuable skills which can be directly applied in the workplace including

  • Measure and report carbon footprint

  • Mitigate identified wastes within their organisation

  • Triple bottom line reporting to improve sustainable competitiveness

  • Conduct water and energy audits
