Cockatoo sewerage backlog program
Cockatoo is a township just beyond Melbourne's eastern edge in the Dandenong Ranges. Construction of the sewerage services within Cockatoo is now complete and property owners have been notified that the new sewerage services are available for connection.
The area has been serviced using a hybrid sewer system; this means that some properties will have gravity sewer connections and some will require pressure sewer connections. For more information of these types of sewer systems, please visit our Types of Sewerage Systems page.
Customers in the Cockatoo backlog areas have been sent an information kit which informs customers on how to connect. For information regarding connection please read our guide: Connecting to the sewerage system when it becomes available (PDF, 238KB).
