Templestowe sewerage backlog program
Construction of the new sewerage system in Templestowe commenced in July 2010 and is due to be completed by September 2011.
Construction in reticulation areas RA0040N and RA0040C is now complete and property owners have been notified that the new sewerage services are available for connection.
The Yarra Valley Water team was present at a number of recent community events in Templestowe:
Backlog Community Picnic - Friday 1st April
Yarra Valley Water in conjunction with Manningham City Council hosted a well-attended Community Picnic at Westerfolds Park. Thankyou to all those who visited us.
Several customers applied to connect to the sewerage system, and our contractor Pressure Sewer Services was also on hand to answer questions about pressure sewer systems.
Templestowe Festival - Sunday 3rd April
Yarra Valley Water had a ‘Backlog stall’ at the Templestowe Festival on Sunday 3rd April. Maps and brochures were on display, and Yarra Valley Water engineers answered questions from customers about the new sewerage services.
Construction Stages:
Northern Templestowe (Reticulation Area RA0040N)
Construction in this area is now complete and it has been declared available for connection. This includes the following streets:
- O'Briens Lane;
- Newmans Road;
- Kerrins Lane;
- Monckton Road;
- Briar Lane;
- Timothy Court;
- Cottonwood Court;
- Glendenning Rise;
- Read Street;
- Angel Top Terrace; and
- Tuscany Rise
Customers in this area were sent an information kit which informs customers on how to connect.

Central Templestowe (Reticulation Area RA0040C)
Construction in this area is now complete and it has been declared available for connection. This includes the following streets:
- Porter Street;
- Chivers Road (northern section);
- McDonald Avenue;
- Albert Street;
- Princely Terrace;
- Smiths Road (adjacent to Porter Street only; the rest of Smiths Road is in South Templestowe); and
- Church Road (only number 400; the remainder of Church Road properties are in South Templestowe)
Customers in this area were sent an information kit which informs customers on how to connect.

South Templestowe (Reticulation Area RA0040S)
This area is expected to finish by the end of January 2012 (slight construction delays due to wet weather). It covers numerous streets around Serpells Road and Church Road.
