| Yarra Ranges Shire | Chirnside Park sewerage upgrade project
Yarra Valley Water is upgrading sewerage services in the Chirnside Park area to ensure our systems have adequate capacity to continue to protect the environment. New sewerage infrastructure is being built along Switchback Road, on a section of Nelson Road and in the Chirnside Park Golf Course. Construction began in late September 2011.

| City of Maroondah | Jumping Creek emergency storage project
Yarra Valley Water is building a new emergency storage tank adjacent to the Jumping Creek sewage pump station in Croydon Hills. This will reduce sewage spills flowing into Jumping Creek from the nearby pump station.

| Mitchell Shire Council | Wallan Sewage Treatment Plant maintenance project
Yarra Valley Water has completed essential maintenance at the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) in Wallan. Lagoon ponds will be de-sludged to ensure improved long term performance of the STP. These works started in March 2011 and were completed in December 2011.

| City of Whittlesea | Mossman Crescent sewerage project
Yarra Valley Water has constructed an 800 metre-long branch sewer and rising main, and sewage pumping station in Lalor to cater for growth in the new Mosaic Living and Carlingford Estate housing developments. Construction began in July 2010, and is was completed before Christmas 2011.

| Hume City | Craigieburn water project
Yarra Valley Water is increasing the capacity of pipes carrying drinking and recycled water to Craigieburn, and constructing a water transfer pipeline between Craigieburn Reservoir and Mt Ridley Reservoir.

We are upgrading sewerage services in Greenvale and Roxburgh Park to ensure our systems can service future growth, including the new Greenvale Rise, Greenvale Lakes East and Greenvale Lakes West developments, and to ensure we continue to fulfil our environmental obligations.

| City of Boroondara | Abbotsford sewer syphon project
Yarra Valley Water is replacing a 100 year old pipe that crosses underneath the Yarra River near the Capital City Trail Bridge. Construction began in April 2011 and involves work on both sides of the Yarra River. We expect the project to be completed by February 2012.

| Moreland City | Merlynston Creek sewer works
Yarra Valley Water is currently working to upgrade sewerage infrastructure near Merlynston Creek to ensure that the sewerage system remains operational, and to reduce the risk of sewage leaking into the environment. Construction started in October 2011 and is expected to be completed in December 2011.
