Water and sewerage services play a significant part supporting our standards of living and protecting public health.

In Melbourne we have a world class water supply and sewerage system and we want to keep it that way. Prices for water and sewerage services increase on 1 July 2011 to fund investments to maintain and expand water supply and sewerage infrastructure.

2011/2012 System charges for Yarra Valley Water business customers: 

Your money goes to:

• Paying for new water supplies including the north south pipe line and the desalination plant.

• Ensuring high quality water.

• Transporting water to your home.

• Efficiently removing waste water from your home via the sewerage system.

• Cleaning the waste water removed from your property to protect public health and safety.

• Returning cleaned water back into the water cycle with minimal impact on the environment.
