Trade waste charge

Trade waste charges will increase by 15.3% in total (11.6% plus an adjustment for CPI) All businesses that operate in the Yarra Valley Water service area and discharge commercial waste into the sewearge system must have a trade waste agreement with us.

Annual Parks charge


The Parks Charge is not related to the water and sewerage services that we provide to you. It is a charge  We collect this charge for Parks Victoria because it is cheaper for the community than issuing a separate bill. This charge is used by Parks Victoria to maintain and enhance Victoria's parks, our Zoo's, the Royal Botanic gardens and the Shrine of Remembrance as well as many other community facilities.

Waterways and drainage charge


The Waterways and Drainage Charge is not related to the water and sewerage services you receive from us. We collect this charge for Melbourne Water because it is cheaper for the community than issuing a separate bill. These charges are used by Melbourne Water to look after rivers and creeks and manage drainage and floodplains in your area.

Fire services charge


Business customers who have been permitted to connect a fire service to Yarra Valley Water 's water supply assets will be charged an annual fire service charge.

Fire services are provided by property owners to ensure they have a dedicated water supply to fire hoses and sprinkler systems in the case of fire.

The annual charge is $60.65 for the 2011/12 financial year which will be divided by four and appear on your account on a quarterly basis.
