Yarra Valley Water provides water and sewerage services to over 1.7 million people living and working in Melbourne's northern and eastern suburbs.
What you pay:
System charges
This is for your general water and sewerage services. These charges are fixed and billed quarterly to property owners only (not tenants).
Usage charges
These charges are based on the volume of water that you use as measured by your property meter; they are billed quarterly to owners and tenants.
Waterways and drainage charge
This charge is collected from property owners only every quarter on behalf of Melbourne Water.
Parks charge
This charge is collected from property owners only once per year, for Parks Victoria.
Supporting our customers
We understand that increased prices can place pressure on the household budget. For customers who experience difficulty in paying their bill, we offer assistance programs including:
