Who is entitled?


You may be entitled to a concession on your water and sewerage charges if you hold a valid pension or concession card and the residential address for which you are claiming concessions is your sole or principle place of residence.

The name and address on your valid card must be the same as the account details.


Eligible cards include:

  • Centrelink Pension Concession Card
  • Centrelink Health Care Card
  • Department of Veterans’ Affairs Pension Concession Card or a Department of Veterans’ Affairs Gold Repatriation Health Card For All Conditions (War Widow or TPI – except Dependant).

How much is granted?


The water and sewerage concession provides a 50% discount off water and sewerage charges up to an annual maximum. For 2011-2012 this maximum is $270.20.

Customers who are billed for a single service, for example, water only, will receive 50% off water charges up to a maximum of $135.10.

Maximum concessions are increased each year in line with inflation.

 

How to apply?


Apply online: submit your concession card details online by filling in our online form.


Apply on the phone: call us on 13 1721 and have your card ready to give us the details


Once your card details are registered the concession will be added to your account. We will validate your eligibility each quarter with Centrelink and contact you if required.
