Why is the current PropertyFlow system changing?
The existing PropertyFlow system is being upgraded to be more in line with modern web based functionality. This includes a more logical and intuitive presentation of information, an easy four step shopping cart approach to purchasing statements and plans and immediate password reset capability. The new system also enables you to have more immediate access to information statements and plans without having to rely on the postal service and fax capability.
What are some of the new features?
- A logical FOUR STEP shopping cart process.
- An enhanced PASSWORD RESET capability in case you forget your password.
- Receipt of statements and reports via EMAIL soon after completing your request; the 1 hour urgent turnaround application fee no longer applies as all requests will be processed under the one low fee.
- FLEXIBILITY to choose the Rates Settlement Statement date that best meets your settlement activities. This ensures you have the most current financial information relating to the property you are settling.
- The ability to MODIFY the request date for a Rates Settlement Statement with 24 hours notice so we have enough time to process your request.
How do I access the new PropertyFlow system?
You can then access the new system via the Yarra Valley Water website, www.yvw.com.au/propertyflow. To log-in to the new system for the first time, make sure you have your User ID and temporary password handy. You will then be prompted to enter and confirm a new password. If you don’t have an existing PropertyFlow account with Yarra Valley Water, you can call us on (03) 9872 2527 and we can create an account for you. When an account is established, a User ID and password will be emailed to you and a billing account will be set up. You can then access the new system via the Yarra Valley Water website, www.yvw.com.au/propertyflow.
What happens if I don’t have a PropertyFlow account?
If you don’t have an existing PropertyFlow account with Yarra Valley Water, you can call us on (03) 9872 2527 and we can create an account for you. When an account is established, a User ID and password will be emailed to you and a billing account will be set up. You can then access the new system via the Yarra Valley Water website, www.yvw.com.au/propertyflow.
What statements and plans are available with the new PropertyFlow system?
The following types of statements and plans are available:
Water Information Statement– The Water Information Statement (WIS) is a package of an Encumbrance Certificate, an Asset Plan and a Rates Certificate. The package also provides for a Rates Settlement Statement (RSS) to be automatically sent just prior to the settlement date on a date nominated by you. The Rates Settlement Statement contains rates payments information as at the date of preparation.
Rates Settlement Statement – Can be ordered at a later date as long as you have already purchased a Water Information Statement within the last six months. The Rates Settlement Statement contains rates payments information as at the date of preparation.
Property Sewerage Plan – A Property Sewerage Plan is a plan that has been provided to Yarra Valley Water by a plumber after the plumber has carried out plumbing work on a property within the Yarra Valley Water service area. The plan is as provided by the plumber and may vary in the amount of detail provided. Property Sewerage Plans are not available for all properties.
Does the new system work in all browsers?
The new PropertlyFlow system supports all versions of Internet Explorer 8 and above. When using Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer 7, in some cases the screen layout may appear a little different but the system will still deliver the functions you need it to perform.
Can I still receive statements and plans via fax or postal service?
The new PropertyFlow system does not provide for fax and mail delivery services. Yarra Valley Water will email the statements and plans you requested shortly after completing your request. You will need to contact us on (03) 9872 2527 between 9.00am and 4.00pm to arrange fax or postal service. Alternatively, you can access your transaction history online and print your order once it is completed and fax or mail the plans to your customer or an alternate fax or mailing address if you wish.
What payment options are available?
When you purchase a statement or plan using the PropertyFlow system, the associated charges will be automatically charges to your PropertyFlow account.

What happens if I can’t remember my password?
If you forget your password, you can click on Forgotten your password? in the Log in screen. A new temporary password will be emailed to the address linked to your User ID.
What happens if I can’t remember my User ID?
If you forget your User ID, please email us at PropertyFlow@yvw.com.au and we will contact you to arrange a new User ID. Alternatively, you can also contact us on (03) 9872 2527 between 9.00am and 4.00pm and request a new User ID. Make sure you have your ten digit account number with you, which you can find in the top right corner of your bill.
When will I get the reports I order online?
Statements and plans requested via the new PropertyFlow system will be sent to your default email address linked to your User ID shortly after your request is completed. If there is an error, please note that Yarra Valley Water may take up to three business days to follow up the matter. You can also check the 'Transaction History' tab to see the status of your order. Once the status shows ‘Complete’ you can then download your report. Note: you will need to click on the refresh button to view the latest status.
Is an Information Statement the same as a Water Information statement?
Yes, it’s just a name change.
How do I change the default email address for receiving statements and plans?
You can change your default email address for receiving statements and plans. The default email will automatically appear in Step 3 Complete transaction and delivery details. You can enter a different email address if you like or if you wish to change the default email, please email us at PropertyFlow@yvw.com.au with your new default email address along with your ten digit account number.
Is a Property Sewerage Plan available for every property?
No, not always. A Property Sewerage Plan (PSP) is a plan that has been provided to us by a plumber after work has been carried out on a property within the Yarra Valley Water service area. The plan is dependent on what is provided by the plumber and may vary in the amount of detail provided. Note: As the PSP contains information that has not been prepared by Yarra Valley Water, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of its contents.
Can previous reports be accessed?
By clicking on the 'Transaction History' tab, you can access previous reports which were created after the new PropertyFlow system was implemented on 29 August 2011. If you need to access a previous report, you will need to contact us on (03) 9872 2527 between 9.00am and 4.00pm.
