Protecting the Yarra

The Yarra River is a Melbourne icon. It is a major natural feature of Melbourne's landscape and has shaped the city's development. As a community, we have learned to value the Yarra, and our environmental expectations for it continue to rise.

The Yarra River Action Plan builds on the work already done to improve the health of the river.  This $600 million plan is a long-term commitment  to further improve water quality in the river. To have a look at the plan go to www.ouryarra.melbournewater.com.au
