Sponsorship Policy
At Yarra Valley Water we believe it is important to be actively involved in our community and play a role in its development above and beyond delivering our core services.
In the past, we have done this through a variety of in kind cash sponsorships and by providing bottled water to community organisations. To align with our strategy to reduce our impact on the environment, we no longer provide bottled water and giveways including printed materials.
We provide a portable water fountain – called the Hydration Station
Sponsorship criteria
We establish a calendar of events early in the financial year using the following criteria:
- location (event must take place in our geographic service area)
- size of audience (must be greater than 1,000)
- alignment with supports Yarra Valley Water business objectives
- equitable presence across our licensed service area
Requests for our Hydration Station are evaluated on a case-by-case basis and require one month notice.
Please note: All Hydration Station events have been allocated for the 2009-2010 season
How do I apply for sponsorship?
Proposals must be submitted in writing to:

All proposals must supply the following:
- a completed copy of the application form
- a concise outline and description of the event, including date and location
- information about target audience, including estimated number of attendees
- the benefits for Yarra Valley Water becoming involved
- how, where and when the event will be promoted
- how the event will be evaluated
- how Yarra Valley Water will be recognised, opportunities for branding, signage, public announcements, distribution of material
- any additional costs for support materials/signage
