Sponsorship Policy

At Yarra Valley Water we believe it is important to be actively involved in our community and play a role in its development above and beyond delivering our core services.

In the past, we have done this through a variety of in kind cash sponsorships and by providing bottled water to community organisations. To align with our strategy to reduce our impact on the environment, we no longer provide bottled water and giveways including printed materials.

We’ve decided the best approach moving forward is to support large community events with our Water Bar.

We also provide a portable water fountain – called the Hydration Station – for smaller events.

Sponsorship criteria

We establish a calendar of events early in the financial year using the following criteria:

  • location (event must take place in our geographic service area)
  • size of audience (must be greater than 1,000)
  • event supports Yarra Valley Water business objectives
  • equitable presence across our licensed service area

Requests for our Water Bar or Hydration Station to be at a local event are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

How do I apply for sponsorship?

Proposals must be submitted in writing to:

  • how Yarra Valley Water will be recognised, opportunities for branding, signage, public announcements, distribution of material
  • any additional costs for support materials/signage

We will review and respond to your written request within 10 working days. We look forward to hearing from you.
