Exemptions

Can I apply for an exemption? 

Yes, you may apply for an exemption to water restrictions in special circumstances such as if you have a medical condition or a disability.

Note: Households with at least one resident aged 70 years or over may water their plants manually on specified watering days between
6 am - 8 am or at the alternate time of 8 am - 10 am.

Will the exemptions that were awarded under Stage 3a still remain in place?

Yes, on this occasion exemptions granted under Stage 3a will remain in place, however water utilities will continue to review on an ongoing basis.  Water utilities will continue to work with businesses on the development of their Water Conservation Plans and may also choose to review these, as appropriate.
