Concessions
Who is entitled?
You may be entitled to a concession on your Water and Sewerage Service charges and on your Water Usage and Sewage Disposal charges, if you hold a valid pension or concession card and the residential address for which you are claiming concessions is your sole or principle place of residence.
The name and address on your valid card must be the same as the account details.
Eligible cards include:
- Centrelink Pension Concession Card
- Centrelink Health Care Card
- Departmemt of Veterans’ Affairs Pension Concession Card or a Department of Veterans’ Affairs Gold Repatriation Health Card For All Conditions (War Widow or TPI – except Dependant).

How much is granted?
The maximum concession allowed each year is $245.00 (from 1 July 2010) for water and sewerage charges, or $122.50 per year for a property that is billed for a single water or sewerage service. This amount is indexed by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) each following year.
Concessions are granted as 50% off the total fixed service and/or volume charges up to the maximum concession allowed each year.
Once registered the total granted will be displayed in the Summary of charges on the front of your bill.
How to apply
To receive and automatic concession on your account, please call us on 13 1721 and have your card with you when you call to give us the details.
Submit your concession details online.
Once your card details are registered the concession will be added to your account. We will validate your eligibility each quarter with Centrelink and contact you if required.
