Bindts Road Water Project

We are constructing new water and recycled water pipes along Bindts Road, Wollert to ensure future residential developments in Epping North, Wollert, Mernda and South Morang can receive a reliable supply of water and recycled water.

Since construction activities started in May 2018 our contractor, MFJ Constructions, has already completed the following sections of work:

  • Harvest Home Road, between Dewpond Crescent and Bindts Road
  • Bindts Road, between Harvest Hme Road and 40 Bindts Road
  • Private land east of Bindts Road.

From September 2018, MFJ Constructions will be building the new pipe under the road surface in the following areas:

  • Bindts Road, from Lehmanns Road headed towards 40 Bindts Road.

The blue lines show completed sections. The red line shows where new pipes will be built.

Construction activities started in late May 2018, and the works should be completed in December 2018. MFJ Constructions are working Monday to Friday, between 7.00am and 5.00pm, and Saturdays, between 7.00am and 2.00pm

You may notice

Water supply to nearby properties will not be affected by these works.

You may notice construction noise during work hours such as excavating machines and reversing truck beepers.

Vehicle access along Harvest Home Road and Lehmanns Road will be maintained for the duration of the works, and cars will be able to access the Al Siraat College as they usually would. Bindts Road will be closed to traffic (except local residents) between May and December 2018.

Between September and December 2018, traffic detours will be in effect for the intersection of Bindts Road and Harvest Home Road. Traffic will be directed via nearby Springbank Road and Saltlake Boulevard. ‘No Parking’ signs have been temporarily installed on the north side of Springbank Road to alloow for smoother flow of traffic.

While we make every effort to minimise environmental impacts while we work, it is likely that some trees will need to be removed for this project.
