Bundoora Water Pipe Upgrade Project
We are constructing 230 metres of new underground water pipes along part of Plenty Road and Ambrose Treacy Drive, in Bundoora, to ensure customers in the area continue to receive a reliable supply of drinking water.
The Bundoora Water Pipe Upgrade Project involves building 230 metres of new underground water pipes along part of Plenty Road and Ambrose Treacy Drive, in Bundoora.
Our contractor, Kaycee Excavations, will begin construction activities in the road way along the north side of Ambrose Treacy Drive, heading west towards Plenty Road. They will then head north along Plenty Road towards the Metropolitan Ring Road exit ramp, working with the footpath and nature strip, and finishing within a grassy reserve, where the new pipe will connect into the existing water pipe network.
The new pipe will be built in small sections, and our construction activities will move along the road as each section of work is completed.
Kaycee Excavations will start construction activities on Monday 22 October 2018. The works should be completed in mid-December 2018, subject to good weather and ground conditions.
Works will occur Monday to Friday, between 7.00am and 5.00pm. Some Saturday works may be required.
Your water supply will not be affected by these works.
You may notice noise from construction equipment and trucks as the new water pipe is constructed within road reserves and nature strips. Some footpaths and road lanes will be closed during works hours, however alternative footpaths and traffic management will be in place to ensure the safety of pedestrians, motorists and our workers.
Footpaths and road lanes will be reopened every evening and on weekends. Road surfaces and nature strips that are damaged by our works will be repaired once the works have been completed.
