Hume and Merri-bek Sewer Improvement Works
In 2014/2015, we completed a detailed condition assessment of 284 maintenance holes in the Pascoe Vale sewer catchment. This assessment, part of our proactive maintenance inspection program, identified 112 sites that required rehabilitation.
The rehabilitation works involved:
- Relining maintenance holes at 147 sites
- Recoating or replacing lids at 139 sites
- Replacing drop pipes at 24 sites
- Removing ladders/iron steps at 110 sites.
In 2018, our Project Partner, Interflow, inspected a further 43 maintenance holes and rehabilitated 35 sites.
