Yarra Valley Water conducts a random selection of meters that supply customers within Yarra Valley Water's service area, to be tested for accuracy and performance.
Yarra Valley Water test a random sample of meters as it is not economical to test every meter in a population. Statistical sampling techniques are employed to measure meter accuracy and performance.
Samples are tested in accordance with the Australian Standard AS3465.4 In Service Compliance Testing at a NATA approve testing laboratory. This testing methodology is approved by the National Measurement Institute.
The results of the sample tests will determine our replacement strategy for the future.
