Did you disconnect your sprinkler system? Perhaps it was not disconnected correctly. Is the timer set for longer than it should be? We suggest you check all of these things and if they are not the issue, we recommend you check your sprinkler system to ensure it is not leaking or faulty.

We suggest you check that the ‘automatic fill’ setting is not turned on and filling the pool up on a regular basis. Also check the pool to see that it is in working order.

Is your evaporative cooling system new? This could explain an increase in usage patterns. If it is not new, is it faulty? We suggest you check it for leaks.

Perhaps you have had visitors stay for an extended period of time, each visitor contributing to your everyday usage with extra showers, toilet flushing and loads of washing. Is there a new addition to the house? For example a baby or a relative staying long term. Maybe you hosted a party. All of these scenarios could be a reason for your unexplained spike in usage.

It is important to make sure that your solar hot water system is in working condition. They can sometimes be the most difficult to locate an issue.
