Apply for payment extension
If you need a little more time to get on top of your bills, you can apply for a payment extension for up to 30 days.
We recommend this option if all you need is some temporary relief.
Find out if you're eligible
We recommend that you call us on 1300 441 248 if:
- you need an extension for more than 30 days
- your bill is 30 days or more past the due date
- you have a direct debit which is due to be deducted in the next 3 days
- you have an active SmoothPay arrangement
- you have already had an extension on your current bill and still need more time to pay.
Call us on 1300 441 248 and have your account number, property address or property number handy.
We will let you know immediately if an extension can’t be applied on the spot and what you can do about it.

Online requests are not available for accounts already 30 days past the due date, using direct debit or SmoothPay. If you are not eligible for the payment extension and need more time to pay, call us on 1300 853 811.
