Yarra Valley Water appoints new General Manager Distribution Services

Yarra Valley Water is pleased to announce the appointment of Bridie Fennessy as its new General Manager Distribution Services.

Ms Fennessy has been acting in the role since August, providing outstanding leadership to key planning and service functions including service response, operations, asset planning and building climate resilience.

She’s proven herself as a resilient and energetic leader during this time, building capability in her team while navigating complex incidents and ongoing changes in the regulatory environment.

Ms Fennessy is passionate about achieving outstanding outcomes for customers and the community and ensuring services are inclusive and accessible to all.

She has a sound understanding of public sector and regulated environments and a well-rounded ability to build meaningful customer and stakeholder relationships.

Ms Fennessy joined Yarra Valley Water in 2015 and was previously Divisional Manager Service Response where she established a new Division that has delivered a significantly improved service for customers experiencing water and sewerage issues. Prior to that Bridie was running specialist case management, having held previous roles in customer strategy, advocacy and public policy at PTV, the Public Transport Ombudsman and the Energy and Water Ombudsman of Victoria.

She also holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from Monash University and was admitted to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria.

Yarra Valley Water Managing Director Pat McCafferty said he was delighted to announce Ms Fennessy’s appointment following a rigorous recruitment process.
