Community Events Promotion Terms & Conditions
The promoter is Yarra Valley Water Corporation ABN 93 066 902 501 (Yarra Valley Water)
whose registered office is at 25 Lucknow St, Mitcham, Victoria 3132.
Information on how to enter, mechanics of entry and the prize form part of these Terms and
Conditions. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Entry is via the internet, and a QR code linked to Yarra Valley Water’s website.
By entering the competition, the entrant acknowledges that they are opting in to receive
marketing materials from Yarra Valley Water.
Eligibility
1. Entry is open to Yarra Valley Water residential account holders in Victoria with a valid
account number.
• Over the age of 18 years.
• Have won entry into the competition through a Yarra Valley Water community event.
2. Directors, managers and employees (and their immediate families) of Yarra Valley Water
are ineligible to enter this promotion. Immediate family means family residing with the
Yarra Valley Water employee.
Promotion period
3. The competition commences at 12.00AM (AEST) on Thursday 27 February 2025 and
ends at 11.59 PM (AEST) on Sunday 16 March 2025.
How to enter
4. To enter the promotion the Entrant must spin the wheel and upon winning their prize,
scan the QR code and accept the T & C’s by submitting their details with a valid email
address.
5. Only one (1) entry per Yarra Valley Water residential account is permitted. Any
subsequent entry of an Entrant after the first valid Entry is received from that Entrant will
be deemed invalid.
6. Incomplete, inaccurate, erroneous, ineligible, incomprehensible or invalid customer
account entries will be deemed invalid. Contact details entered incorrectly by an Entrant
on their entry form will render the entry invalid.
Winner determination
7. All eligible Entries received throughout the Competiton Period per Condition 5 (How to
Enter) will be drawn randomly via (an online auto number generator using each entrant’s
account number) on Monday 24 March 2025 at Yarra Valley Water Head Office, 25
Lucknow St, Mitcham, Victoria 3132 to determine ten winners.
8. The ten winners will be notified in writing by email within three (3) days of the draw. If the
winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, the
Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement
winner.
9. The ten winners will each receive a credit on their residential Yarra Valley Water account
in the amount of AUD $500 (dollars). This credit will not expire unless the winner’s Yarra
Valley Water account is closed.
10. No part of the prize is exchangeable for cash or any other prize. The prize, only in its
entirety of $500, is transferable to another residential customer, at Yarra Valley Water’s
discretion.
General
11. If the competition is not capable of running as planned for any reason beyond the
reasonable control of the Promoter, including because of war, terrorism, state of
emergency or disaster (including natural disaster), infection by computer virus, bugs,
tampering, unauthorised intervention, technical failures, directions of regulators or
industry self-regulatory bodies or any which corrupt or affect the administration, security,
fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right, in
its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion and/or if
necessary to provide alternative prize(s) to the same value as the original prize(s),
subject to any written directions made under applicable legislation.
12. The Promoter excludes all liability (including negligence) except for any liability that
cannot be excluded by law (including any applicable consumer guarantee under the
Consumer Law), for any direct or indirect injury, loss and/or damage arising in any way
out of the promotion. This includes, but is not limited to: (i) technical malfunctions, delays
or failures, including those resulting from accessing any materials related to this
promotion and any incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information communicated in the
course of, or in connection with, this promotion as a result of any technical malfunctions,
delays or failures; (ii) theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (iii) lost or
damaged entries, prize claims or prize(s); and/or (iv) acceptance and/or use of any prize.
13. All of the Promoter’s decisions in respect of the promotion are final and no
correspondence will be entered into.
14. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her acceptance and agreement
to be bound by these terms and conditions.
15. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by Australian law and
any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
16. The Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant or cancel
a winner's entry if it has reasonable grounds to believe that the entrant has breached any
of these Terms and Conditions, provided false information, engaged in any unlawful or
improper conduct, or otherwise acted in a manner that is disruptive, dishonest, or
damaging to the integrity or reputation of the competition.
Privacy
17. Protecting your privacy and personal information is important to us. We recognise the
trust placed in us when you supply us with your personal information. We are bound by
the Information Privacy Principles (“IPPs”) under the Privacy and Data Protection Ac t
2014 (Vic) (“PDP Act”) in handling your personal information.
When it comes to your health information we are also bound by the Health Records Act 2001 (Vic) (Health
