Users who violate these guidelines will have their comments hidden or removed. Users who continually violate our community guidelines may be banned from the channel without warning.  

Respectful and constructive conversation  

We encourage open discussion and welcome diverse perspectives. However, all comments must remain respectful, constructive, and mindful of others. Offensive, abusive, or harmful language will not be tolerated.  

No hate speech or discrimination  

Posts or comments containing hate speech, discrimination, or harassment (e.g., based on race, gender, sexual orientation, or disability) will be removed. 

Privacy and security  

To protect individuals, personal or sensitive information (e.g., phone numbers, addresses) will be removed, consistent with our commitment to safeguarding personal information outlined in our Privacy Policy.  

Misinformation  

Information that is likely to mislead and deceives, especially regarding environmental issues, incidents, public safety, or our services, will be removed to maintain the integrity of discussions.  

No commercial promotion or solicitation  

Our social media platforms are for community engagement, not advertising. Unsolicited promotions of products or services will be removed.  

Yarra Valley Water reserves the right to make changes to these guidelines at any time. We also reserve the right to disable comments on any of our social media channels at any time.
