Integrated Management System Policy

Yarra Valley Water’s Integrated Management System (IMS) is integral to the delivery of our 2030 business strategy and objectives. It supports our strong organisational culture and commitment to delivering high quality services, a safe and healthy work environment, and protecting the natural environment.

Yarra Valley Water is committed to continually improving the effectiveness of our Integrated Safety, Quality and Environment Management System, having regard to the needs and expectations of our employees, visitors, customers, delivery partners, Traditional Owners and Aboriginal Victorians, and other interested parties.

Our Integrated Management System is designed to meet the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.

The objectives of our Integrated Management System are to:

  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment which supports wellbeing, eliminates hazards, minimises health and safety risks and prevents work‑related injury and illness
  • Establish measurable performance objectives and targets, and monitor progress against the targets to ensure continual improvement and to promote innovation 
  • Meet all legislative and other compliance obligations applying to Yarra Valley Water activities including health and safety, environment and sustainability, and water industry customer service obligations
  • Establish processes to identify and manage both risks and opportunities affecting the conformity of our activities, products, and services
  • Regularly review, evaluate, and verify performance through audits and workplace inspections to drive improvement
  • Commit to protecting the environment, prevent pollution, enhance environmental performance, and mitigate the impacts from our activities
  • Provide opportunities for employees and other interested parties and their health and safety representatives to be consulted and participate in matters relating to safety and wellbeing which may directly affect them
  • Ensure employees and other interested parties are made aware of and understand the Integrated policy, procedures and processes through relevant training, supervision and/or provision of information.

This policy is publicly available to all employees and interested parties and is reviewed every two years to take account any applicable regulatory and customer requirements and changes in work activity.
