Mount Ridley Road Sewer & Water Project

We’re constructing new sewer, water and recycled water pipes in Mickleham to service one of Australia’s fastest growing communities in Melbourne’s northern suburbs.

Most of this new infrastructure is large ‘mains’ pipes that transfers high volumes of wastewater, water and recycled water over large distances.

The project will be completed in 2 stages over approximately 2 years.

  • Stage 1 – sewerage pipes have been installed and this stage of works is complete
  • Stage 2 – starting in 2025, we'll be installing water and recycled water pipes.

Most of the construction will take place in the road reserve to the north of Mount Ridley Road between Newbury Road and east of Mickleham Road.

We'll be contacting impacted residents directly with more information before we start Stage 2 of the project next year.

The map below shows the path of the new sewer, recycled water and drinking water pipes.

Due to the pipes’ size, depth and how they interact with the greater network, many properties along the pipe path are unable to connect into them directly.

If you’re interested in connecting to water or sewerage services, visit yvw.com.au/psa to request ‘preliminary servicing advice’ for your property.
