Scotchman's Creek Diversion Sewer Project
To better manage flows during wet weather events and to improve the operational efficiency of our network in Mount Waverley, we constructed a new sewer and maintenance hole within Sienna Estate, Mount Waverley.
The Scotchman’s Creek Diversion Sewer Project involved constructing:
- a new pipeline from the children’s playground in Tally Ho Reserve at Bennett Street to 15 Solferino Close, Mount Waverley
- a maintenance hole adjacent to the footpath and steps leading to the reserve. To minimise construction impacts on residents, we will use a boring machine to construct the sewer.
Most of our work was within the easement along Solferino Close and adjacent to the footpath and steps leading to the reserve. For safety, the footpath leading to the Tally Ho Reserve was closed intermittently.
Construction work started in mid April 2020 and was completed in July 2020.
