Young artists making a splash in National Water Week

This year’s theme, Water Heroes: Save Every Drop, inspired preschool and primary school students across Yarra Valley Water’s service area to share their water-saving messages through art.
Yarra Valley Water Manager Director Natalie Foeng said the entries showed talent and a strong understanding of why saving water matters.
“We had so many wonderful entries come through. The standard was incredibly high, but what really stood out was how students embraced this year’s theme and showed why every drop counts,” she said.
“Competitions like this are a fun and creative way to help our young people develop lifelong water-saving habits. Judging by this year’s entries, they’re well on their way to becoming the next generation of water heroes.”
Students from Yarra Valley Water’s service area also received statewide recognition, with Bulleen Preschool taking out first place in the state for the Preschool (Collaborative) category, and Vir from Beverley Hills Primary School coming 2nd in the Years 5-6 category.
