North Warrandyte Pipe Protection Works

We’re carrying out works to protect our underground pipe network in North Warrandyte, to keep customers’ water and sewers running smoothly.

We’re working at 17 locations across North Warrandyte from May to September 2026. The works will reduce the likelihood of any future bursts or leaks and provide improved long-term reliability for the community.

What's involved in the works?

Non-destructive digging

We’ll use a vacuum truck with a high-pressure hose to safely expose our underground pipes.

Providing pipe protection

We’ll cover our pipes with cement providing an additional protective barrier against leaks or bursts.

Reinstating surfaces

Once complete, we’ll restore the area to its original condition. This includes topsoil and reseeding nature strips and permanently reinstating driveways or roads.

What to expect

  • In some locations, the roads will be closed. We’ll notify impacted residents so they can plan ahead.
  • Moderate to high levels of noise and vibration during our works.
  • Trucks, machinery, equipment and workers in the area.
  • There won’t be any impact to customers' water or sewerage services.
