Nutfield-Arthurs Creek Water Upgrade Project
We’re upgrading water pipes in Nutfield and Arthurs Creek to improve the reliability of our water supply.
The water pipes in the area are over 100 years old and in recent years there’ve been several interruptions to water supply to residents due to the ageing pipes bursting.
Our construction delivery partner Abergeldie DKM will upgrade a 2.4-kilometre-long section along Hurstbridge-Arthurs Creek Road.
When we’ll be working
The project will be completed over approximately 6 months from late March.
Impacts and what to expect
We’ll make every effort to complete these works with as little impact as possible to the community.
- Working hours will be Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
- The water and sewer services to the area will not be interrupted by these works.
- You may notice work happening along Hurstbridge-Arthurs Creek Road, between Ryders Flat Reserve and Mine Road.
- The work will be noisy at times, as we’ll be operating excavating machinery and driving trucks in the area.
- Traffic flow along Hurstbridge-Arthurs Creek Road will sometimes be affected by our works. There may be occasional short delays to traffic and detours around onsite machinery and equipment.
- We’ll make sure people have access to your driveway and private property. We’ll contact residents directly if we need to block access, even if it’s just for a moment.
- To protect the local environment during construction, we completed extensive environmental investigations and have chosen construction methods to minimise environmental impacts, including tree and native grass removal.
