Spring Street Pressure Reducing Station
We’re planning to build a new Pressure Reducing Station at 258 Spring Street, Beveridge to provide a reliable supply of drinking and recycled water to customers and support population growth.
What’s involved in the works?
We’re planning to build a Pressure Reducing Station (PRS) at 258 Spring Street near the intersection of Spring and Arrowsmith streets, Beveridge.
There will be 2 buildings at this site where we’ll install the pumps and valves used to operate and manage the supply of water to customers – one building will be for drinking water and the other for recycled water. We will also construct pipelines along Spring Street to connect our existing water supply network to the building. Before we start construction, we need to complete investigations at our property.
To prepare for the construction of our new facility, we need to complete some investigations, including
- Service proving Non-destructive digging to locate underground services. We’ll be working at the intersection of Spring and Arrowsmith streets and at Spring and Minton streets.
These investigations will be completed Monday to Friday, from 7am to 5pm - Noise monitoring Specialist equipment monitors ambient noise levels day and night for a week.
- Soil resistivity testing To measure how much the soil resists electrical currents and to predict potential for corrosion of underground pipes.
