M4 water main project

We're carrying out investigations to help us plan a new water main from Coburg to Brunswick.

These investigations were completed in stages - from November to December 2023 and from January to March 2024. While most of the sites have been surveyed and ground conditions assessed, we still have a few sites to complete. In April, we plan to investigate the condition of the existing M4 pipe under the Bell Street road bridge, near the Nicholson Street intersection.

Our findings from these investigations and assessments will help us to progress our designs and plans for replacing the existing water main.

We’ll share this information about our plans when we’ve reviewed our findings and developed options.
