Epping North Water Main Upgrade
As Melbourne’s north continues to grow, we need to upgrade our network to meet increasing demand.
The new 700-metre pipeline will work alongside the existing water main providing greater capacity and helping maintain water supply during maintenance or unexpected outages.
What's involved in the works?
Trenched construction
We’ll dig a narrow trench, lay the pipe, then backfill and restore the area once work is complete. This is the safest, simplest and most efficient way to install the pipe on open land.
What to expect
- Trucks, equipment and machinery on local roads.
- Low to moderate levels of dust, noise and vibration.
When will works start?
Construction will start in October 2026 and finish early 2027. We’ll use Harvest Home Road to enter and exit the access track onto the work site.
The pipeline will become operational once it’s connected to a new water main installed at the future Riverhills Estate.
